So I'm a little late but better late than never. This past weekend was fantastic!!!!! Saturday was dress shopping at David's Bridal in Rockford with Amy, Angie, Leah and Emmalynn. Angie and Amy bought their dresses and I got my veil and got to try on my dress. I'm glad I got a simple dress because I love being able to have a fancy, pretty veil and don't feel the slightest bit bad about how much I paid for it because my dress was only $126. It was fun spending time with those girls playing dress up. I also went with Amy to get Easter outfits for the kids. I can't wait to see them all dressed up. We got home and then spent time outside with Harlan, Jaxsen, Spike and Angie and they came over for pizza which was fun.
Sunday was awesome!!! We spent the whole day with la familia. The kids played and we all hung out and talked and only had to chase down Max once because Bradlee let him out (lol). We had a cookout and then watched the ACM awards when we were done eating dinner. It was a nice time and I love spending time with those butt munches.
Monday Sarah started her new job at Ultrasonic and she is excited about it and I'm excited she won't be putting so many miles on my car and we won't be putting gas in it as often. She's going to work a couple nights at FOFI but it's better than 5/6 nights a week.
It was a productive weekend as far as wedding planning goes too. Besides my veil and 2 bridesmaid dresses we booked our reception location and booked the hotel rooms for out of town guests. My next thing is finding a DJ that won't cost me a fortune. I am hoping to spend like $500 but that would be a miracle to find and we don't have many options for an inexpensive DJ in the area.
On a much sadder note another young life in my home town has been lost because of a senseless act of violence. I'm tired of seeing my classmates dying for nothing!!!! It breaks my heart and makes me so angry. RIP Melissa and I pray for justice for you, your children, your family and your friends.
Until next time
Hugs, Kisses and Bestest wishes
