Love is in the air

Well at least on the walls and doorways of our house. I put up what decorations I made last night and decided we needed way more so I will be doing that tonight among the many other things I have to do while Sarah is at school. Unfortunately I can't get the pictures off my camera but I borrowed this picture from Craftzine.com because it's basically the same look just different instructions.

What You Need:

Cardstock or construction paper

Scissors

Tape or stapler

To Do:

Fold the paper in half short way (match the two short ends together so you get a 8.5x5.5 rectangle) and cut strips. I learned the hard way you don't want to make them too thin because they don't stay "heart shaped" very well. You will want to cut them about 3/4 to an inch thick for the best results. then all you do is take the open ends of your strips and turn them to make the humpy parts of the heard and attach them. I used tape because that's just what I grabbed you can use a stapler if you want. I made a bunch of them and attached them together in random ways with tape in between the hearts. I'm so mad I can't get the picutres off my camera but once I do I'll post how I put them together. It's super easy and they make really cute decorations. I also made regular paper chains and hung them in the doorways. It's so cute in my house and I will be starting Mardi Gras decorations next week so I will be ready to Laissez les bons temps rouler on the 21st aaaaiiieeeee!!!!!

Till next time
