It's getting real

So I just checked another thing off my wedding planning checklist and it's a big one.  I just bought my dress :)  Not only did I buy it I got a great deal.  It was originally $149 and then on top of that there was a 20% discount so I ended up only spending $127 and I am so super geeked!!!  It's pretty simple but I like it and I'm glad I found it.  I ordered it online from David's Bridal and I'm kind of glad I did rather than making a big deal about going to the store and trying on a bunch of dresses and dealing with the drama and everyone's opinions.  I am going to plan a day for the girls to go look at dresses together even if it's just for fun.  I'm so excited that it was an inexpensive dress so I won't feel at all bad about doing a polar plunge trash the dress photo shoot.  I wouldn't have been able to do it if I would have used Sarah's mom's dress so this works out in more ways than one.

So in other news I'm trying to eat healthier and cut out caffeine and junk food and so far so good but I'm so going to eat a donut and have a cup of coffee tomorrow morning.  I want to start losing weight and getting healthy because I hate not being comfortable in my own skin and I miss my favorite comfy jeans.  And while I'm on the subject of healthy eating I made my own coffee creamer and Sarah's favorite chocolate cake the other day (lol).  The cream is a 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 3/4 cups milk, 2 Tablespoons caramel sauce.  I put mine in a mason jar but you could use an old creamer bottle and shook it up.  Next time I make it I'm making my own caramel by putting a can of sweetened condensed milk.  I was really kind of disappointed to see so many chemicals and ingredients in the caramel sauce I bought at the store considering caramel is just sugar and butter.  Why would they need to ADD caramel color...to caramel????  That totally blew my mind.  The cake was just a chocolate cake mix, 2 containers of chocolate frosting and fresh strawberries.  I baked the cake and then split in after it was totally cool.  Smeared almost a full can on the bottom layer and then sliced some strawberries on top of that.  I just put an even layer on there then put the other layer on top of that.  I used the rest of that can and then some out of the second can to frost the top.  The best part is after the cake sits for a while the middle frosting gets kind of like pudding from the liquid that comes out of the strawberries.  It's so good.  I usually only make it for Sarah's birthday but I felt like making it for no other reason than I wanted to bake a cake lol.

Well it's getting late and I want to curl my hair in the morning so I better call it a night.
Until next time
Hugs, Kisses and Bestest wishes
