The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away...

Blessed be the name of the Lord...

Today is one of those days that reminds me just how fragile life is and how it truly does come full circle.  As we are mourning the loss of one family member we are very excitedly welcoming another.  My cousin passed away Sunday afternoon and today my cousin Britni gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy.  Preston Alexander Salas (7 lbs 13 oz) was born at 1:11 pm and he couldn't be more perfect.  I wonder if this is one of those cases where when someone is born they take on the spirit and personality of someone that passed because if that is the case Baby Preston is going to be a caring person with a kind heart and have a love of the outdoors, his family and life.  My cousin Todd was a patient man that lived his life to the utmost fullest and even though we haven't spoken in a little over a year it will not change the fact that he taught me how to jump my bicycle on a motorcycle track and a lot about animals...well mainly how to hunt them.  It's because of him I know the difference between Mossy Oak and Realtree camo and when to use what and it's because of him I'm not freaked out when I see a dead deer laying across the tailgate of a pickup during deer season.  while my heart breaks for my aunt, uncle, his wife and his brother I can't help but smile and laugh at all the good times growing up that involved him, the funny stories of him growing up and how I'm always amazed he survived this long.

I love both my cousins and can't wait to watch Baby Preston grow up and see the wonderful man he becomes

Until next time
Hugs, Kisses and Bestest wishes
