Memorial Day=my favorite weekend of the year!!! Nothing better than kicking off summer with some camping, fishing, bonfires and hanging out...well except this year. It's been pretty cold so all we've been able to do was go fishing yesterday (Friday). We (Sarah, Leah and I) went to the pond in German Valley and caught some bluegills (Score-Sarah:1 Anna:1 and mine was bigger) but the best part...TADPOLES!!!!! Sarah noticed a bunch of tadpoles swimming around the bank so Leah went and grabbed a container and they filled it up with the tadpoles, some water and pond scum. After closer examination we noticed that we had 6 tadpoles and a snail!!! We named them Kermit, Bull, Tady, Wiggler, Thadeus, G.V. and Gary the snail.

This morning (Saturday) when we woke up we were happy to see that all our little friends survived the night. Not only did they all survive the night we noticed 2 more tadpoles; DJ and Houdini. We also think we have more eggs in there but we're not sure if they're more tadpoles, fish or bugs. We thought we saw a 9th tadpole but we left for lunch and when we came back they either ate it or it's hiding in the algae because we can't find it. We have all kinds of wiggly things in there and Gary has been cruising around. He's even taking advantage of the rock and he was hanging out on it earlier.

I have never watched a tadpole change into a frog in person before so I'm super dorked out excited about it and hope they all turn into frogs. I'll keep you all posted on their development and post lots of pictures
