Finally the craft I've been talking about

I finally am going to post the craft project I've been talking about.

Do any of you remember Shrinky Dinks? All I remember about them is wishing my mom would buy me some and she never did. While they still sell them this is way better, cheaper and it's a fun way to combine crafting and recycling. Come to find out the #6 plastic containers-like the kind you get bakery goods in-shrink when you put them in the oven. It's super easy and I was so excited that it actually worked!!!! I just cut out the shapes and drew my design on them with a black Sharpie, then flipped them over and colored the back (you have to use permanent ink or it won't work. I'm not sure what will happen cause I haven't tried but I guess I should). You could do it however you wanted I just didn't want the black to mix in with the other colors. Then I put them on a cookie sheet with a piece of aluminum foil on it and popped them in a 350 degree oven for 3 minutes. That's all there is to it. One of them was kind of curled up when I took it out so I quick smashed it down with the oven mit and it was fine. I tried some other ones and tried to put holes in them...didn't work out so well. The first time I poked the holes and then put them in...the holes shrunk closed so that didn't work so I tried to stick a finishing nail in them while they baked...I couldn't get the nail out and they were curled up so bad that I couldn't flatten them with the oven mit. I figured out it was soooo much easier to just take the exacto knife to them once they are done and just CAREFULLY put a hole in them (I kind used the point to poke it and then moved the knife in a circle until it made a hole). I put some jump rings through the holes and made them into charms and put the heart one on a bracelet and then the blue one (it's a horrid picture but it's the sky, the sun, some clouds and birds) will be a necklace once I get a chain for it and fix the corners, they're kind of sharp.

I know to some this may not be very interesting but I thought it was awesome and I plan on making more I just need to come up with some good ideas.

Hope you enjoy and till next time
